Tanita McDowell, President
Statesboro Alumnae Chapter
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated

Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Statesboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The Statesboro Alumnae Chapter is a thriving chapter with a continuously growing roster of forty sorors – all of whom are registered voters and independently active members of the surrounding communities. The Chapter works diligently to impact change across our service area, which encompasses the Bulloch, Candler and Evans county communities. Our partnerships with local organizations has granted us the opportunity to impact the community-at-large in ways that we would have never dreamed possible. To date, we have distributed thousands of school supplies, registered more than 300 new voters and provide a wealth of service through educating our youth. At present, our goal is to continue youth outreach and maintain our place in our communities through active engagement, partnership and educational support.

The Statesboro Alumnae Chapter has members who have served and currently serve on Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s Southern Regional and National Committees; members who are doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, accountants, college professors, secondary school principals and educators; two Bulloch County Education Teachers of the Year, one Georgia Teacher of the Year and several collegiate deans at our local universities. The Statesboro Alumnae Chapter has provided over $25,000 to area students for college scholarships. As the chapter continues with perseverance, public service, social action, scholarship, and maintaining an unbroken sisterhood; the Statesboro Alumnae Chapter will continue to make a substantial difference in our community.
